Dr. Jay Jones, Principal
Dr. Jones has been in the teaching profession since 2005 upon earning his B.S.Ed. in Mathematics Education from UGA, where he was also a member of the UGA Redcoat Marching Band. He has since obtained his M. Ed. in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University, his Ed. S. in Teaching and Leading from Georgia Southwestern State University, and his Ed. D. from the University of West Georgia.
Dr. Jones began his career teaching at Houston County High School, transferred to Veterans High School as the mathematics department chairperson, and returned to Houston County High School in the fall of 2014 as an Assistant Principal. He is married and has two children.

Mrs. Trinidy Rawlins, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Rawlins graduated from Hawkinsville High School in 2005. She received her bachelor's degree in Interrelated Special Education from Georgia SouthWestern State University in 2009 and her Master's in Special Education Curriculum & Instruction in 2010. Most recently, she earned a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University in 2019.
Mrs. Rawlins joined the HOCO family in 2015 and she loves the opportunity to be able to witness students be successful in both school and in life. She gets excited seeing students push through adversity and challenges and come out on the other side as better students and people.
Mrs. Rawlins has been married to her husband, John, for 7 years. Together they have two wonderful sons, Jack and Brannen.
Mr. Jared Allen, Assistant Principal
Jared Allen began his education profession in 2011. A graduate Toombs County High in 2007, he attended Georgia Southwestern State University where he earned a baseball scholarship. Upon graduating in 2011 with a B.S. in History, Mr. Allen began working at Dodge County High where he taught Social Studies, was an assistant football and head baseball coach (2011-2014).
Mr. Allen began teaching Social Studies at Houston County High School in 2014. He earned is M. Ed. In Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia College and State University along with his Ed. S. in Teacher Leadership. He has served as an assistant football and baseball coach (2014-2023) as well as Physical Education Department Chairperson (2020-2023).
Mr. Allen married his wife, Megan Allen, and they have one son, Kadence Allen (8).
